ASSEMBLY GUIDE

Our side bags are not only made for Harley Davidson models but can also be used on brands such as Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki etc. Here we give examples of how your new side bag can be mounted on your motorcycle.

All motorcycles each have their own unique design and therefore with a little modification, many of our bags can also be fitted to most brands and models. Check fitting under the desired bag where we mention the model and year.
Note that the footrest may have to be removed when mounting the bag on the frame. We usually recommend these three options, depending on the bag you want:

1. Mounting on the free rear swingarm
2. Mounting on rear fender brackets or fender struts
3. Mounting on frame, sissy bar or hangers (custom)

To make sure the desired side bag fits your motorcycle, check the fitting tab under the specific bag. If you are still in doubt, send us a message here with your motorbike model and year. Alternatively, you can see how our customers have mounted their bags here .

Have fun!

1. ASSEMBLY ON FREE REAR SWINGS

Most of our side bags can be mounted on free rear swingarms on both the right and left side, depending on your MC model. The short side of the bag should typically face down towards the rear wheel as seen in the orange illustrations below. Note that the footrest may have to be removed when mounting the bag on the frame.

2. MOUNTING ON REAR SCREEN BRACKET OR FENDER STRUTS

Our side bags also have the option of being mounted on the rear fender or fender struts on both the right and left side, depending on your MC model. This type of installation usually requires a slight modification, for example you can loosen the rear fender bracket/fender strut so that the adjustment straps can be attached. The short side of the bag should typically face the handlebars as seen in the orange illustrations below. Note that the footrest may have to be removed when mounting the bag on the frame.

3. Mounting on frame, sissy bar or hangers (custom)

Our side bags can also be mounted directly on the motorcycle frame, sissy bar or other types of hangers. This usually requires a lighter modification and custom attachment. The possibilities are many, as long as there is room for the bag and fastening of the straps. In the orange illustrations below, there is an example of attachment to the frame of an HD Sportster . The short side of the bag should typically face the handlebars. Note that the footrest may have to be removed when mounting the bag on the frame.
